AKA CHIPP provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date.
The members of Alpha Gamma Eta Omega (AGHO) have partnered with the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, working closely with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison, Kori Rogers. This collaboration helps ensure the ongoing success of the Weekend Backpack Program, which offers nutritious meals and snacks to children over the weekend at no cost.

This exciting collaboration unites community organizations to coordinate volunteer efforts. Responsibilities
encompass, but are not limited to, receiving, sorting, and distributing food packs. The schools and recipients have already been determined, and best practice guidelines are in place to assist volunteers each week.
For more information on how to volunteer, contribute, and/or make a donation please contact programs@akaalphagammaetaomega.org program chairman Dion Walker-Duncan and/or program lead Marsha Henerson.
Wednesdays from 12 PM to 3 PM for sorting and packing
Thursdays 9 AM to 11 AM for distribution.
